I mean, the fashion industry didn't get the leather for free. My point is: if you buy leather, you also support the meat industry - and for Ebba who is a vegan, that's not very funny, huh? I also think it's totally unrespectful to wear someone else's skin? I mean, would you guys ever consider buying a jacket made of "genuine human suede"? If you can't wear a human, don't wear an animal either. Would you consider it OK to wear a jacket made of a person who died in a car accident - "the person didn't die for my jacket anyway.."? Think how the fake leather is made... :) By destroying the nature and habitats of animals, plants + using the amounts of extra energy to pump the oil and making the other SYNTHETIC MATERIALS. Think about it, the real animal lovers AND PEOPLE WHO THINK are not using synthetic materials NOR fake leather. I would be so happy if you could spread some awareness through tour blog to people and those who clame to use fake leather because they THINK they are protecting this planet. The other fact is that the oil and other non-reusable + the jackets and shoes you own are not going to molder... It means that it is going to either float among all other plastic bottles in sees, be ditched to forests etc or be burned (say hello to PAH and other toxic gasses...) :) Using leather is ok, using fake leather or furs (fake or real) is not.
