Wakey wakey hands off Drakey. 00:13:29

So I’m bout to kidnap Drake and steal his Nike gloves.
Maybe tattoo ZAHRA on his forehead while I’m at it.
He seems like that dude who’d be easy as hell to kidnap.

My new favorite sweatshirt. 02:54:05

A huge Nike sweatshirt which I borrowed from Erik. (We both know it’s mine now though).
What’s weird and slightly eerie about this sweatshirt is that it’s the same  sweatshirt Anna Lindh’s murderer wore when she got murdered. (Click here to see him.) Not the actual same shirt but same design.
Maybe it’s even weirder that I know that.

So I changed my mind… 15:52:17

about the color camel since I saw these pieces from Nike’s spring 2011 collection. They’re lovely. Do want.

Nike x Harris Tweed. 01:49:06

So the new Air Royalty Harris Tweed Nike’s are out and it’s hands down one of the sexier shoes for men I’ve seen. I love Nike’s and Harris Tweed’s fling and this time around it’s just fantastic. Handwoven leather sportswear, who would’ve known it would go this well together? Thank god for Nike. These above are blueprints but the shoes are also available in a dark army green. I need a man with these shoes. Because YOU CAN’T BEAT THAT WITH A BASEBALL BAT.

A guide to sneakers for the femmes! 02:57:15

5. Vans

I had some kind of personal vendetta against Vans before. I guess it’s the whole skateboarding scene that bugs me. Not when guys wear it but when girls mimic what guys wear, in the skateboarding scene, it just looks odd to me. I also bought a pair of buttugly Vans that kind of scared me away from the brand for a while.

But then they did a 180 for me, grew up a bit. And even if they were still keeping with the skateboard vibe they were starting to make more mature and sleeker sneakers. They let the checkers and skulls rest and went for a more toned down look. (ex. fall 09). When they eventually teamed up with Hellz Bellz I was sold (they’re the kicks in the photo above).

4. Reebok

Reebok has always been in my heart. There was something about Yelle and Freestyle Paris that I absolutely loved. What’s so great about Reebok is that they constantly reinvent themselves, making little collaborations here and there and keeps the brand alive and fresh. The pastel shoes from Milkfed and the Reign-bow shoes (or as I call it, the koolaids) are two great examples of this. Then of course my favorite collabroation which shown in the picture above, the pair of sneakers they did with Married to the mob and Colette. Reebok is absolutely a winner for the ladies.

3. Adidas

Nobody fucks with the three stripes. With collaborations like Jeremy Scott and Fafi in the bag, I don’t even know where to find a good reason not to buy a pair of Adidas. They’re timeless, come in all sorts and shapes. Never a disappointment.

2. Nike

If you’re a first-time sneaker-buyer I would definitely recommend your first pair to be Nike’s. The opportunities are endless, really. Nike has been around since 78, and the shoe models are plenty to choose from. Which can get quite tough too, I guess? Nike Vandal is my favorite model, by far. What I love about Nike is that they just do it. And they do it pretty darn good.

1. Creative Recreation

They are just the opitome of sneakers. So god damn beautiful! I even remember the first time I saw a pair in real life, and how lame is that? (Weekday had them some years ago, just plain white ones though). I also remember squeezing into a pair of 36’s (swedish size) Dicoco’s in Denmark trying to convince Mom that ”they really didn’t hurt that bad” and that ”I would probably stretch them anway”. For the record, Mom didn’t fall for that one. One of my friends has a pair though and he says that they’re not really all that comfortable. But then again girls, neither are heels, right? The designs and shoe models Creative Recreation pulls out are amazing. Every time. That’s why they deserve the first place.
